Job Profile: Sales Manager - Cruise Liners (Nordic countries) at AVIAREPS Nordics

Job Description:

As a Sales Manager for cruise liners, you will play a crucial role in positioning and promoting various cruise brands within the Nordic market. This independent position requires building and nurturing strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and other regional partners to drive sales growth and enhance brand visibility. Your primary focus will be expanding existing partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategic relationships to meet sales targets and increase market share.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Building and Maintaining Client Relationships:

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and other partners to effectively position cruise brands in the Scandinavian market.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for partners across Scandinavia, ensuring alignment with global sales strategies.
  • Conduct regular partner visits, organize product presentations, and deliver training sessions to enhance brand knowledge and sales capabilities among agents.

2. Market Development and Sales Strategy:

  • Proactively identify new business opportunities to expand the market presence of represented cruise brands across the region.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies and achieve business objectives.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities and events in collaboration with partners to showcase cruise offerings to a wider audience.

3. Driving Sales and Achieving Targets:

  • Achieve sales targets through focused sales activities and collaboration with travel partners to maximize bookings.
  • Develop detailed sales plans and track progress against KPIs to ensure sales objectives are met.
  • Present special offers, promotions, and incentive programs to agents to stimulate demand and drive sale.

4. Reporting and Analysis:

  • Regularly report sales performance and market insights to senior management.
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to optimize approaches and refine strategies.
  • Prepare periodic reports on market developments, client relationships, and sales performance.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the cruise, travel, or tourism industry, preferably in a similar independent role.
  • Extensive experience in building and maintaining relationships with travel agencies and tour operators.
  • Proven experience working with cruise products and a network that facilitates trust-building with new brands in the market is essential.
  • Deep knowledge of the Scandinavian market and an established network within the travel industry.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in a Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish) being a strong advantage.
