Tourism Intern – Marketing, PR, Marketing and Events

 

AVIAREPS UK is a subsidiary of AVIAREPS AG, a leading global travel and tourism representation company in 71 offices in 68 countries to more than 300 global tourism clients with over 750 staff worldwide. We're searching for a passionate and dynamic intern to be involved in a variety of events, marketing initiatives, PR campaigns and projects throughout the year. Join our dynamic team as a PR Intern and gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of travel and tourism public relations. As an intern, you'll support our PR efforts by assisting with media relations, content creation, and campaign management while learning the nuances of promoting travel brands.

We are looking for a full-time intern for a minimum of 24 weeks who would like to gain some practical experience within the company, utilise his/her skill set and have the opportunity to contribute to the business growth and development of our exciting company.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Media Relations Support:

  • Research and build media lists specific to travel, lifestyle, and tourism sectors.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking media coverage, preparing reports for clients.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, pitches, and other communications.

 

Content Creation:

  • Develop engaging content for press materials, blogs, and social media.
  • Support the team in creating presentations and client reports.
  • Collaborate on creative brainstorming sessions for campaigns.
  • Assist in brochure audits and brochure content

 

Event Coordination:

  • Assist in organizing press trips, events, and media meetups.
  • Prepare briefing documents and event kits for journalists and influencers.

 

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain and update databases of contacts and campaign results.
  • Provide support for ad hoc projects and administrative duties as needed.
  • Manage database and CRM
  • Assist in preparing client reports

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Passion for travel and knowledge of current trends in tourism and hospitality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with PR tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Eager to learn, proactive, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
