AVIAREPS, the global leader in tourism, aviation and hospitality representation with 67 offices in 61 countries around the world, participated as UNWTO affiliate member at the 68th UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization) conference held in Sofia, Bulgaria from May 31 to June 2, 2023. This annual international event brought together tourism ministers, industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders from around Europe and Central Asia to discuss and shape the future of the tourism industry.
The conference focused on key topics such as sustainable tourism development, innovation, digital transformation, and spa & wellness tourism. It served as a platform for in-depth discussions and collaborative efforts to address the challenges and opportunities that the tourism sector is facing in the years ahead.
AVIAREPS leveraged its participation in the conference to engage with various member states and kick off its collaboration with the UNWTO. As a leading partner in tourism representation, AVIAREPS will provide a number of professional service grants including a diverse 360° portfolio of destination marketing services and research services free of charge to a total of five countries chosen by the UNWTO, namely Bulgaria, Albania, Romania, Montenegro and Uzbekistan.
AVIAREPS remains dedicated to supporting the tourism sector and will continue to work closely with the UNWTO and its member countries to ensure the sustainable growth of the tourism sector in Europe and to contribute to the digital transformation of the industry.
